Flamethrower Bot

Me and some friends built battlebots in our high school engineering class. Mine has a small pump that spews paint thinner over some lighters and is a flamethrower. The other has some lame sawblades. This is the epic battle that resulted at the end of the year. (It takes a little while to get going, but the end is worth it.)

Actually we spent about $10 on the flamethrower bot (for the small battery powered squirtgun). The car and all other parts were scavenged from around my house.

@Shanetsmith24 how did u make the flame thrower remote controll lol im thinking 2 rc motors and on other motor the part that spins the wheels how to squeezes the squirt bottle triger

We had the board from a 2nd R/C car mounted on the 'bot to control the pump motor. Of course they have to operate on different frequencies or you'll get interference. So we ended up having 2 controllers for 1 car. Or if you have some more money to play around with, you can do what the sawblade bot team did, and get one fancy controller that can operate on multiple channels simultaneously (they set one channel for driving, and one for the blade motor).

you should use next time the pump from a swifer sweeper the kind that shoots cleaner on the floor for the flamethrower.
