  • So his Utopian idea was that people should make art full time and give it away for free--well, he needs to lay off the ganja.

  • Here on youtube I'm sure we're all familiar with scrolling down from a video and entering into a dark world of conflict, hatred, division and "I'm right you're wrong and a moron" positioning called the "Comments" section. It exists outside of the internet too, but to a far lesser degree simply because what you say at work or at home actually has an impact on the next bit of your life. Here we have no fear of consequence, and no need to temper our internal demons. What's the next step from here?

  • I reckon there's some good that'll come even out of the polarization. The alternative is to not let them say what they want online, right? May the best ideas win.

  • these people seem arrogant. therefore; i'm out.

  • I think the interviewer or Lanier wasn't specific enough. Seems like expressing yourself online is such a terrible thing. If people do want to express themselves in social media let them. I wouldn't call it web 2.0 though.

  • thats cuz ur part of the pack mentality of dumb braindead ppl <3 but ull get over it

  • he seems like a polymath. Quite intresting. Not sure if he's right wing or left wing. This is one of his worse interviews.

  • Just what is Web 2.0? I've looked on the web and gotten completely unrelated ideas.

  • what does he mean by lock-in? i dont get it?

  • Web 2.0 does not work well in lynx. Not good.
