What a great game. Although the score doesnt show it. USC's defense was the story of this game. Notre Dame had so many chances to score more points and the USC defense stopped them every time

@Zumikotok Your "possible" answer makes absolutely no sense at all. Why would the NCAA doctor the report?What motive would they have? That whole report indicted SC, so why would they remove a part about SC paying for players? It makes no sense. Oh, and #5 got gifts from agents so that he would hire them when he turned pro, not so he could play for the team he was currently on. That's why agents do that stuff. They could care less about the university, they only care about getting clients.

No one can be and I am not saying I am 100% correct either that they were, but I was giving a reason a POSSIBLE answer to the conclusion of what happened... but sadly you take it to a whole new level and base your whole counter argument around it. Jarrett, Steve Smith, the linebacker trio, Lendale White, Leinart, etc. And what point are you trying to make about the rankings? So they're not top ten now. Auburn was top ten last year and now they are not. How is a rankings comparison even relevant?
