Transcription of the entire Dancing Mad piece from Final Fantasy VI (3 in the US). Taking unfair advantage of YouTube's generous allowance of over-15-minute videos.

It's the 100th original transcription! I hope you all enjoy this one, because not only did it take a great deal of time and effort to write it down, but I also went above and beyond my normal polishing standard to make this both look and sound better than anything I've done so far. Enjoy!

  • Wait, how the HELL did I miss this?

Holy crap, this is amazing. I love how you included absolutely everything in the song, right down to those howling wind effects in the first movement. It really gives this a sense of completeness. I also like how you played Kefka's laugh at the end of the final movement. Just can't leave out that laugh, lol. Gotta favorite this.

This also reminds me that I want to do an MPC version, but it won't be for a while 'cuz I want to save it for a big milestone.

  • @pokesonicddrninja Thanks a bunch! Yeah, I felt like those sound effects were necessary if this was going to be my 100th transcription, haha =p I love whenever I can make good use of the more unconventional MIDI sounds in my videos. You will definitely have fun doing this in MPC, that's for sure =)

  • Nice!

I have a question though. I know how to make repeat signs, but when I play the song it just skips the repeat sign or ends the sing. Could you help me?

  • @Deezocane That depends on which software you are using. If you use NotePad, then that's why; NotePad's repeats are pretty much just for decoration and don't actually repeat the song. I'm pretty sure it works properly in SongWriter and up, though.

  • Dude! You beat me to it. Haha!! Dang this is super awesome!!! I'm so glad the full score finally exists now! :D

Keep up the super amazing work!! You have a good ear, man.

  • @Gallahaut Hey I should thank you for letting me! =p I didn't realize you were doing FF6 music, but this transcription made for a great 100th project for me. I'm really happy that you and everybody enjoys it, too. Thanks! =)

  • THANK YOU!!! I've been looking for sheet music of this song everywhere! Thanks for making this!

  • I love how simple and ledgible the percussion parts are. Usually I don't get either of those from you.

  • I truly appreciate this upload. Its going into my collection of favorites.

  • It would be cool if you did an arrangement of Lillium from Elfen Lied. I might make a composition of it but anyway. Try it. But it's not videogame music through....

  • This is amazing. Absolutely. I too am working on a large project, "A One-Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy 7, as long as you don't already have dibs =] ha. This is great and you are very inspirational!
