The Battle of Stalingrad was the bloodiest battle in the history of warfare with combined casualties amounting to nearly two million deaths. In its defeat, the crippling losses suffered by Germany's military proved to be insurmountable for the war. The 6 month long battle was a turning point in the war.

i wish a documentary similar to this would be made, but about the russian soldiers, who also suffered.

Sorry, as insensitive as this might come off, but is this a documentary about German soldiers in Stalingrad, or Stalingrad battle in general? It seems like the entire last episode is only from the perspective of the Germans, and any Russian interviews portray them as unsympathetic vengeful people. Where are the interviews with Russians who talk about how all of their homes and lives had been destroyed and bombarded into oblivion, entire families wiped off the face of the earth?

Hi there.
Thank you for posting this very instructive yet sad documentary. I would like to ask you for the name of the song that is used all throughout the video, please.
Kind regards
