my advice with knot work is to kind of crochet (cro-shay) a square knot so that it will never ever come out on you even trying to untie them is hard for me

Suggestions: A leather punch, or even a paper hole punch makes a nicer hole than an awl. A square knot will untie itself when enough pressure is put on either of the loose ends. A bowline, or a clove hitch, or even a couple of half hitchs is better than a square knot.

I feel like watching a tutorial on how to make a sling is the epitome of the laziness of the human thought process today. No offense to the video, but seriously... weren't the people who originally created these practically cave men?
