Poor bastard, has to watch out for twits who can't distinguish between reality and fantasy. His twin references the history of aristocratic inbreeding in one of the episodes. With how thick some people can be, it might pay to hire a bodyguard dude.

@spartan1879 He joined the kings guard cuz cercei told him that he was going to marry lysa tully. If you read the books u will recall when jaime went to riverrun and Lord hoster kept making seat next to lysa then when jaime went to KL to visit his sis she told him that Lord tywin was making arrangements to get him married to lysa. Then cercei told to join the kings guard so he could stay close.But that was a mistake tywin did not approve and left KL and took cercei back to the rock

@razbojnikxxx Sorry for the late anser but I have to disagree! Jaime doesn't want to... not realy at least.He joined the kingsguard only because it got him close to Cercei and he didn't have to worry about his father marrying him off to some other house!

@britchicknusa125 I agree. At first you hate him and don't find him all that attractive. Then as the story goes along you almost feel sorry for him. When he rides in to confront Lord Eddard Stark, he's simply to handsome for words. Jaime just loved the wrong woman as Nikolaj said.
