Account of an Aboriginal man who was separated from his family because he was half cast and destined to become a servant of the white in colonial Western Australia.
Until 1967 he was not classed as a Citizen of the country of his birth whereas an overseas migrant could obtain citizenship after two years.
With a recent "Sorry" from the Rudd Federal Government an era in Australian history ended but the trauma and psychological wounds will take a lot longer.
The British settlement of Australia was responsible for the near destruction of the unique 60,000 year old culture of the Australian natives.
