NBC Channel 5 featured the new VI PEEL at Dr. Bill Johnson's Innovations Medical in Dallas, Tx. Finally, there is a aesthetic procedure that is designed for darker skin types and helps with problems like sun damage, melasma, acne, fine lines, and acne scars. Previous to the VI Peel, darker skin types were unable to do anything about their skin problems. Laser procedures, though very good a what they do, are typically used on lighter skin due to the chance that discoloration or pigmentation issues can happen. The VI Peel changes that, and does it very quickly.
Total recovery time from the VI Peel is about 1 week. The procedure itself takes about 10 minutes and does not hurt. You can return to work or school right after the procedure.
