@AeroSharkTech the su-35 will be mass produced around 2015 time, for the first time ever russia has money and just signed a deal worth almost 1 trillion dollars to increase all phases of their military including air force. their slowly also putting their KA-52 attack helicopter into mass production as well

@konischev Well, the MiG-29 is younger than the F-15, who's only real threat will be the Su-35, should it ever be massed produced. Actually, there are 16 aircraft that I know of that can do the Cobra without departing. The first was the J-35, which has been flying since 1955. The test pilot of the second prototype was the first to do the maneuver. This is why I'm don't understand why Pugachev took credit 30 years later. Anyway, those engines on the Tu-22 are something else.

@AeroSharkTech ya but mig-29's are old..i think russia will look to Su-35's and Mig-35's and Pak-FA for next age stuff. the only real plane their still messing with from soviet times is the Tu-22m3(btw you as an engineer have got to love the power of the TU-22 engines). But like I said in todays times Russia does not really copy. look at their 4th gen and 5th gen stuff. and correct me if im wrong but isnt the suikhoi family line of jets the only in the world that can perform the cobra maneuver?
