My interpretation:
Every person is trying to find itself, to know itself, and to achieve this we all go into different personalities, or perhaps even different incarnations, each with different qualities that resemble more or less who we truly are, how our soul is.
In the end, when the lady finds herself hypnotized by "reality", she breaks out of that slumber, what we know as the real world, and advances to the next level, where only superior beings to us dwell. That's why you must take action.
