  • My fully charged battery drains within hours of running my engine. I think the alt is shot but it doesnt make any ugly noises. Does a dead alt always make funny noises or is it only when bearings are the issue? Thanks for the help

  • @WlSEGUY No, an alt does not have t be making noises as an indication that it is on it's way out. failing to properly charge the battery is an indication haha. You can remove the alternator and get it tested at autozone or most other large auto parts stores for free

  • @SilentServiceCode - I had a neurological disorder that affected my face and speech when I was younger. I have recovered for the most part but you can often see the permanent effects if you watch me talk long enough lol...
