Sudo was a wrestler on the Japanese national level before coming to the U.S. and becoming a BJJ phenomenon.  He and Kid Yamamoto were basically rivals at the two best wrestling colleges in Japan. Genki is now the head coach at his alma mater.

Would you happen to know his fight lineage... who he trained under, type of styles, etc? The only info I can find on him is in Japanese. Thanks.

The greatest thing is nobody knew who Genki was at this time. He basically showed up and kicked everybody's ass.
