  • @jesusofsuburbia44 Nevermind, i just saw the end of the vid!! :D

  • whats the name of the song after Surf Wax America??

  • @harrisonhedges Also the Beach Boys didn't even play the instruments on the Pet Sounds album, just leant their voices.

  • It is of note that Brian Wilson almost always co-wrote (including the whole of Pet Sounds), Rivers wrote Pinkerton completely by himself. Saying that both are superb.

  • They have similarities in the same way that Yao Ming and Weird Al Yankovic do

  • I would never compare the two the person who made this knows nothing about music, its like i hear the beach boys songs then it plays a weezer song? like theres any similarity , the music of the beach boys is way more complex than a garage band from the 90s thats first album was good and everything after sucked

  • @prodigylover its not even funny and people who LOVE GOOD MUSIC are insulted by the thought of comparing a band that the beatles were influenced by to ....weezer

  • @busenlilly1 However, unfortunately Rivers isn't the songwriter he used to be anymore. And he never wrote anything that equals songs like "God Only Knows" and "Warmth Of The Sun".

  • Rivers WAS the next B. Wilson. The Blue Album is enjoyable on the same level as The Beach Boys early naive songs, such as "I Get Around" and "Fun, Fun, Fun". True, early Beach Boys were only seemingly simple with really complicated textures underneath. Weezer songs never were, but they didn't have to be. Blue Album/Pinkerton-Weezer were the perfect match up of Beach Boys and Ramones. I'd even go as far as saying the B.Boys have never made an album that I enjoy so much as a whole as I love Blue.

  • According to Billboard, in terms of singles and album sales, The Beach Boys are the No. 1-selling American band of all time, look it up, for your own good
