  • ter go the VP's i got a vp with 230k on the clock and i get 550-600 round town + 650-750 cruzing at 110km/h. Its sweet as, im gettin extractors and cat back on wednesday.

  • Yours is doing much better on fuel then my old one. Only seemed to get 400-440km local not to sure on highway, Only drove it once away - had 100km on the clock - And needle still on full.

What type of headers and exhaust are you going for ?.

  • um, its a set of red-back extractors, custom built mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust with single lukey sports muffler, it getting done tommorow so i'll put up a vid.

  • Yes lukey exhausts. Very good sounding, arguably the best sounding exhaust for a V6.

    Should sound wonderful.

  • i have a vp calais with 470,361 on the clock runs just a good as ever i get nealy 600 ks to a tank

  • Another one for the VP V6's!.

I can only get about 400-450 but thats 99% local driving.

  • I used Vortex gold for about 6 month, And didn't mind it at all.. One day against my own judgement i tried Ultimate for 2 tanks and got better econemy and maybe only just better performance but real hard to tell..

Also read that Ultimate is one of the only PULP fuels that is truly 98 oct..

  • ive been using vortex in mine, seems to do quite well also

  • Same as me, That BP Ultimate runs nice in these cars:).

I always say the VP was the best Buick V6:):)

Still gets 450km to a tank of local driving so i'm pretty happy still, Hope my new cars does much better.

With the price of fuel i don't wont to go back to unleaded it's been to long running to good.

  • Yes still runs a treat, Just came back from Phillip island with some mates from interstate,

We had a little drag on the freeway nice run down there, His got a BA Fairmont and i was still driving the VP, 3 with me and 2 with him, @ 100 he gave me a car start, He had trouble pulling me back in but he would have got me in the long run, He was shocked, I was shocked lol.

Just change oil leads plugs keep it running nice and it will run very nice, But that's the key look after them and they will you
