"Everybody oughtta listen to his mother."

For the fans, by fans! We offer you a re-created scene from the classic 1973 crime-drama, "The Friends of Eddie Coyle". Our intent was to undertake a film project of substance that would be fun to do and to honor this wonderful yet largely unknown film. Adapted from the novel of the same name written by George V. Higgins, "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" is a low-brow, down and dirty look at Boston's blue-collar underworld in the 1970s that is small on action but very rich on dialogue and narrative plot.

Shot on location at the world famous Shanty Cafe in Seattle, this scene, featuring the characters Dave Foley and Eddie Coyle, stars Eric Riedmann (seen on TNT's Leverage), J.P. Giuliotti and features Shyn Midili. Directed by Andrew Birchall and photographed by William Brody. Original music score by Daniel J. DiIulio. Other cast and crew: Shyn Midili, Tom McIntire, Jade Lin, Adam Powers, Dale Smith, Colin Kelley. Special thanks to Ryan Purcell, Ben Andrews and Robert Curtis.

The original film, released by Paramount Pictures, is now available on DVD from the prestigious Criterion Collection.

  • Excellent job . This is one of my favorite films. A much overlooked gem of the 70's. Thank you.

  • @boswell69 Thanks!

  • Pretty good job fellasThats a tall order to do the acting and camera work was good The scene in the daytime may have gave it a different atmosphere meaning the dialogue in a busier setting would have been ballsy or heightned the stakes a bit Sensational tribute to the Movie .

  • @1SECRETBILLY Thanks for taking the time to watch and for your comment! Very appreciated!

  • Watching this while watching the film on TCM. Great job.

  • @jtcbrt Thanks Dude. We tried to sneak in elements from the original film as much as possible as well as adding in our own twists. Some are obvious, some not so obvious. Can you see what they are in both scenes?

We had a blast doing it! We may do more. Tell your friends to check these out and comment.

Thanks for taking the time to post.
