@kehwa indeed you are very right...at least there is an idea here...and if it's hard to understand to some ppl, they should not listen to it...
Me myself,I am a Mozart lover, but still I can appreciate good ideas and thoughts. And this masterpiece is one of those :)

@g3org33r3 I don't understand how you can say there is nothing in this that makes it good music. What exactly do you think makes good music?
-
@g3org33r3 It's nice to listen to. Sort of thing.
-
If a five year old composed this music with absolutely no thought at all so be it. It does not at all diminish the significance of this piece.
-
@g3org33r3 Why Am I pretentious?, I was trying to give you an advice when I said to avoid going further than the romantics, I didn't neither make fun of your music taste nor I used sarcasm. Then you asked me Why? and I gave the best answer I can think of, if its not enough for you to like the modern musicians like Ligeti, well its a shame, but the fact that you enjoy music is what really matters.

@intestinomedicino but there's nothing in this that makes it good music? A five year old could compose it with absolutely no thought at all, and you're telling me that you could explain how it's good music? Sorry, but you're sounding really pretentious.

@g3org33r3 Until the 20th century almost all music was about melody, but atonality masters proved that you can build a whole symphony without being constrained in terms of scales and harmonies by a single note, in fact you can focus in studying harmony and melodies would come out, the twelve notes can be the tonal one at any given time during the whole song instead of this being fixed, thats like Einstein saying time is not absolute but relative, or Picasso's Guernica these are paradigm shifts

@intestinomedicino Why? I study Schoenberg briefly at GCSE and I understand the tone row and his levels of medium exploitation and everything. What exactly makes this good music?
-
@g3org33r3 Don't feel bad about yourself people caused a riot when Stravinsky premiered his Rite of Spring dance...you just prefer tonal music, if I were you don't go further than the romantics when listening to music.

Does anyone have the music sheets for this song, I would be really grateful to anyone that could send them to me :)
But it's not two notes, just to let you know. It's three. Anyway, there is a lot more to music than notes. If you can't sense that, then you are nothing but a mere casual listener of classical music and you don't really understand much more than notes.
