They did engage reversers

In the mid 1980s, I was privileged to fly as a stand-by----American Airlines from Gatwick to Dallas. This is when American was first allowed access to overseas... The flight left at 1:30PM and I remember being one of maybe 50+ passengers on a DC-10. It was creepy...as the only person I saw most of the flight was a flight attendant. It was nice.

I have a feeling it's because BA never had a license to carry domestic passengers internally in the USA; no more than say AA has one to run from maybe LHR/MAN for example; similar to the old days when BA flew to many australian cities, and domestically between, then onwards to LHR, but were only allowed to carry passengers on aussie domestic sectors on condition the same passengers flew on to BKK, SIN, etc

The brakes on the 772 are very often under oiled and therefore make the squeaky sound you hear upon landing as the auto brakes are deployed!!

it was the spoilers
-
I've been on a FULL 747 that landed without engaging reverse thrust
-
it was the spoiler hinges
-
it was the tired touching the ground

what the hell was that squeak?

yay for O'Hare in Chicago!!! :)
Can I fly just between IAH and ORD on this flight if I know someone who works at BA?

Nope. Well at least I don't think so. First of all BA no longer has any domestic US flights as of March 30th. I have tried a couple times to fly on this flight IAH-ORD as an AA employee. Both times they said I had to fly on to London if I wanted to board the flight. Would have been fun if there was a way!

It filled up in ORD. Almost completely full ORD-LHR. I enjoyed having my row of 8 all to myself!

It is empty-usually on my flights from Heathrow to Ohare you never see an empty seat.

That was the IAH-ORD portion. It was full from ORD-LHR.
