Emerging From The Darkness: A brief introduction to MY FAVORITE SHADOW

What do we know about a shadow? Like a story in our past, it lies behind us. Some fear the very nature of its darkness, forgetting that a shadow is most present on the brightest of days.

My Favorite Shadow is an ensemble of musicians collaborating under the direction of singer-songwriter Nick Pribonic. The band utilizes his vision and keen ear to compose music that feels refreshingly honest. They take an acoustic rock vibe and blend it with elements of pop and alternative music. Influenced by artists with a gift for story-telling, ranging from John Mayer all the way to Ben Folds. Borrowing the earthiness of Jack Johnson and the dynamic range of Butch Walker, My Favorite Shadow combines these sounds to create an identity that is worlds away from the sum of its parts.

Fans have seen the band roster in many variations. The sound, however, has steadily held ground in a very familiar foundation. The consistency can be attributed to staple member Nick Pribonic. He is to My Favorite Shadow what Chris Carrabba is to Dashboard Confessional. His songs voice tales of a personal nature while simultaneously appearing to narrate experiences of countless others. The lyrics serve as a golden thread, tying each listener closer to one another. Every performance acts as a reminder of how life's journey can be very poetic. Those in attendance emerge with a renewed belief in the power of music.

Pay very close attention to these guys. Those who have heard know, beyond a shadow of doubt that My Favorite Shadow has just begun to leave a lasting legacy.
