@stri2003 So few people have read Marx's books. Even some self proclaimed Marxists.

@JoshTizza1 flawed?

What is this? Marxist -Leninism for ignorant americans who do not read a book? Sorry folks but if you do not read you will never get the true meaning of it.

Marx ideas are floored; who decides that jonny can live with ocean views and I can't and must live in another area when I want to live where jonny is living? There is no point to life if everybody is equal. Who would honestly spend years in school and university to become a doctor when they can earn the same amount as a bricklayer? These guys must have been off their chops thinking of this.

"who decides that jonny can live with ocean views and I can't."
.
This is really a parody video, but as Marx put it, in communist society there would not be any one dictating where one lives or what one does, as Marx says, "nobody has one exclusive sphere of activity but each can become accomplished in any branch he wishes."
This video is really intended to make people who are knowledgeable in Marxism laugh - it is a joke, edited from a Christian conservative anti-communist video.

@JoshTizza1
You will be disappointed at every turn. The only way to understand Marx's ideas is to read.

@JoshTizza1 One may argue that doctors get the chance to save lives and the bricklayer does not, Alot of people prosper to help others but dont get the chance to . Perhaps jobs that people would like to do should be paid less than the jobs which have to be done but which are not aspirational, such as binmen and bricklayers.

@ThanksDoctorThoctor From a Marxist perspective, the current arrangement of things in regards to wages for bricklayers and doctors is quite natural. In the capitalist system your wages are in part determined by the value of your commodities, and quite clearly health is of greater value than walls, at least in our society.
For communist society, if we phase out value based upon labour, and replace it with common ownership, then wages aren't a question.
