this was intentional. the directors wanted to continue to play with the audiences senses, hearing one language and reading the subtitles of another one, in this case improper cantonese.

If anyone was curious what the boy was saying when smelling the discs.

he was saying the colour red, blue, yellow and finally pink in Cantonese.

This is really neat! I'm wondering if I have slight synesthesia as I've been noticing that I smell (and taste, to a degree) things that I see, so I'm doing some research on it...looks like I'll never know for sure if I have it but it's still kinda neat to be able to smell colors and things I see on the computer, things that wouldn't have a real smell.

This video smells like mild curry powder. Hehe. :)

You definitely have a small case of Synesthesia. I made a short film on Synesthesia as well (It's on my profile)..

But this film is much better.

I heard sometimes that depending on the tone of someone talking it is very irritating for the receiver and sometimes it can be displeasing to eat.

when you've had it your whole life it's hard for it to become a problem. I'm a synesthete. Please don't kill me

Ah I see well that makes sense. I just heard from the internet I never knew if it was true though.

That's cool I wish I was a really strong one. I have a bit - I see colours with certain words but it's very weak.
