Is America A Christian Nation?
Sunday, November 08, 2009
Is America a Christian Nation? Many people don't think so today. The truth is, however, that our great nation was founded on principles that are all throughout the Bible. Author and historian David Barton highlights our christian heritage in this eye opening message.

  • No, America is not a Christian nation. It may have been founded by Christians but it was not founded ONLY for them. And when we have the 1st Amendment written the way it is, so that govt doesn't support OR hinder religious belief, then we cannot allow our nation to be ruled by the Bible or any other religion. Period.

  • "My kingdom is NOT OF THIS WORLD" -Jesus Christ.

  • @ReadPsalms1 The Pharisees tried to use reverse-psychology on Jesus to make him either seem like a revolutionary or to discredit him as Messiah. They asked him "should we pay taxes to Caesar or not." If he said yes, the mass would turn against him. If he said no, they would report him to the government. He said "render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God." Paul said the powers that be are ordained by God. That's what it means to be in the world but not of it.

  • @NeoPsiTom They were secularists but also Christians. They understood what Jesus said to the Pharisees "render to Caesar" and what Paul said about the powers that be ordained by God. There's no such thing as a Christian nation because God isn't something you can force of people, that's counter-productive.

  • @GB26007 Paganism and Christianity are exact opposites. Try actually reading the Bible without letting TV be your basis of authority.

  • AMERICA: Dominant entertainment=murder Main priority=the right to have public sex without discrimination Kid's cartoons=witchcraft Most popular cartoon=Pedobear Most popular celebrities=Satan-worshipers Education=You are an evolutionary mistake Morality=Do What Thou Wilt God=money Most popular preachers=Luciferian Christians=the most hated people in the country Demon statue on the white house Satanic churches all over Kids watch porn more than they do homework yea... Christian nation...
  • @MagicTellaVision Of course. Man created a finite universe, organized the perfect planet to permit intelligent life that can discern the whole cosmos from a singular point in space, evolved his own cell from mud, tricked himself into cause-effect reasoning, spent 1500 years writing made up scripture that happens to be scientifically accurate, spent another 2,000 years deliberately fulfilling it's made up prophecy, then blamed it on a God they completely made up. Sounds legit.

  • Man made your Make Believe God

  • @ReadPsalms1 Your fake Pagan Christianity that promotes civil governments and Kingdoms of God on earth in the name of Christ is lies, deception and blasphemy. America is a secular nation and you people promoting this Christian nation myth are traitors and deserved to be tried for treason

  • @ReadPsalms1 ...(2 Timothy 2:4) (Colossians 3:1 - 2) (Matthew 6:20) (Mark 12:17). New Testament Christianity has nothing to do with earthly carnal things. Jesus reigns in his Kingdom now and forever and it is a reign of Grace, and only people born again of the spirit can see and enter that Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is not a matter of food and drink but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). It is a kingdom not of this world (John 18:36)
