He has always been a great actor, the reason some people are just realizing that now is because they were haters. They loved to hate him because his fame after Titanic and Romeo and Juliet skyrocketed. They hated the fact that young women went crazy over him. I remember as a kid I would tell people that my favorite actor was Leonardo and they would laugh at me. Those people had never bothered to watch This Boy's Life, Total Eclipse, Gilbert's Grape, or Basketball Diaries.

Good acter, still too much a pretty boy i guess its not his fault, just taught it would help him a lot if he was more edgey and angrey.

When I was a teenager, Romeo and Juliet came out with Leo and I thought he was a horrible actor and too "pretty" as a guy for me to like. Now that I'm in my mid 20s and Leo has made quite a few more movies, I have a newly discovered appreciation for him as an actor and I think he has become quite an attractive man. What a transformation!

I have mad respect for Leo. You never hear about him putting himself out in tabloids. He keeps himself to himself. Very profesional. His acting is subpurb also. I remember when he couldnt act to save his life (Growing Pains) Man, has he come a long way. Plus, he's a sexy mother-shutyomouth!
