kamal dasgupta was right hand of kazi NAZRUL islam. IT WAS KAMA DASGUPTA WHO GAVE MAXIMUM COMPOSED THE MELODY TO KAZI SHAHEB. They were two unique individuals in HMV ,complementary to each other.sudhin dasgupta was another talent ,brother of kamal dasgutpta was a very close associate to NAZRUL.

what is more signiificant is that a man who never recognized himself as MUSLIM ,married hindu woman and wrote all the hindu shymma sangeet and POEMS & songs.

KAZI NAZRUL ISALM , a pride star of bengal was born in west bengal and raised in west bengal. Dr. Anup Ghoshal is a great singer; there's no question about his singing ability here. But he's NOT the 1rst singer to sing this song nor is he the best in this song. Let the songs speak for themselves. I'm a big fan of Anup Ghoshal but I'm not deaf yet.

You must be a singer. I listen to music only without understanding the technical aspects of the song.

the notes from the 1rst line are not all there. IF you listen tot the originals you'll hear what I mean.
This is not to say this singer is "besura" - if anything this singer is always in "sur". He's one of my favorite bangla voices.
