Empty Glass - Pete Townshend cover

The title track from Pete Townshend's 1980 solo record entitled ' Empty Glass '. A song that runs the gamut of emotions in just a few minutes.. anger to joy...despair and euphoria....wanting to end it all to wanting to live it up !! lol....I can't help but think of the optimist, who sees the glass half full,..and the pessimist who sees the glass half empty.......but what do you call someone who compares his life to that of an empty glass ?..well..that's a Pete Townshend for ya...lol..anyway..it's such a cool song with a musical dynamic that runs from one end to the other and back again a few times over...sometimes within a few seconds!!..lol....I think a few songs from this record would've made for unbelievably killer WHO songs ( 'Gonna Get Ya' is one that I think should've been ! )...but I think Pete decided to use his best songs for his 1st proper solo record...and who could blame him ?..I mean..they're HIS songs !!!..and what a fantastic collection of songs they are...hope you like it....cheers !...Hey barkeep !!...get me another will ya ? LOL !!

this was a who song recorded in 1978 before townshend put it on his solo record in 80...a 'who' version of it appears on the cd of the 'who are you' album
