Mackinac Island makes me wish that we could all go back to the pre-automobile lifestyle. I used to live in a metropolis. When I moved to a small town of about 10,000 residents, I felt the stress in my life begin to melt away. However, that is nothing compared to the relief I feel when I step foot on Mackinac. The only other place I have felt the same was in a remote village in Scotland where there were more sheep than cars.

love Mackinac Island..life definitely slows down, take a horse-drawn carriage tour, ride your bike around the island, breathe in the sweet smell of the fudge shops.. it is an awesome place:)
