  • He was in his prime during his 96/97 season at Barcelona and his first at Inter in 97/98. Back then he was the best ever, better than Maradona, Pelé, what have you. Best ever, bar none. Then he left for the World Cup, he wasn't at his best but nevertheless played a hell of a match against the Netherlands in the Semis. Then something happened before the Final, and he was never the same again. I find it UNFAIR, and CRUEL, that football fans only got to see the best in the game for 2 years only.

  • of course he was NOT at his best at PSV.. he was only 17-18 years old... AT HIS BARCELONA SPELL HE PLAYED LIKE THE BEST STRIKER OF ALL TIME...

  • Ronado the best player ever!!!

  • he was at psv?? yeah:)

  • whats the music in: 2:30

  • @fraros He did have another peak around the 2002 worldcup. He did amazing during his first few years at madrid, glad I got to see him before he left

  • @ytzuigt I did't realise about Belgium before but now I can't wait for Lukaku to play at Brasil 2014... U should be fine by then

  • @honeybozo Cheers, let's hope Belgium finally starts performing. I've almost forgotten what it's like to watch my country play in an international tournament.

  • @ytzuigt _ Agreed: grass-roots organisation is not a problem in Dutch football - possibly the main cause of the league still turning out talent very consistently . My point was really focussed at the highest level, where luck obviously also plays a major part, because one needs at least several outstanding players in a generation to make a dent at a major championship. My bet is on Belgium in a few years time....

  • @honeybozo Well the quality of the Dutch league is indeed declining, but I'm just saying they still turn out quite a lot of great talent, certainly above the level of any other league comparable to the Dutch league in quality and budget.
