@md4872 ...things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm

How come black power gives off white smoke?
-
Hope that was a steel frame revolver.

@GIDAN2987 It turns the fouling into a solid coating, it actually comes off in big hard flakes when you clean the barrel. Those toilet bowl gaskets are usually synthetic beeswax, too. Don't use them. Go to the girly crafty store and buy the beeswax used for candle making.

@GIDAN2987 @GIDAN2987 Yes, synthetic lube sucks. I use 50/50 pure beeswax, and Crisco. In the Winter I add some corn or olive oil, just to keep it a slippery.

No mosquitos on that range, watch for low pressure (bullet stuck in bbl)
Do you use modern cases ?
the maximum capacity of the modern ones are 28grains with a 250 grains bullet seated on top of the load.
The old ones are of the "balloon head" types. To my knowledge, these are a p**ain in the a** to get hold of, since they are not made any more.

@357supermagnum I use modern Winchester brass, NO trouble getting 40gr. in them. Not even heavily compressed, either. Don't believe everything Mikey V. writes! I also load 70gr. of FFG in modern .45-70 brass.
