    Your point about using the holes is a good one. Nice for marigolds or herb borders. If you look on my channel there is a vid showing the progress I made in 2011 in expanding my garden.

  • Why not build the wall on the outside of the tilled area? You are losing space and it is not a stable base.

  • I swear.. this is the best video i ever seen on doing raised beds on youtube. I did 2 beds of the exact replica on my front lawn next to my mango tree. One is made out of wood, the other is cinder blocks. Yours is fantastic. I grow herbs, kale, peppers, pineapple, flowers in one bed & I grow spinach and more peppers in my cinder block bed. Cinder block is the best, i even plant in the wholes of the cinder blocks. Those blocks are very useful, better than wood.
