Shotty's Classic Series #4:

Archers of Loaf may have a weird name, but they penned a slice of Chapel Hill charm in their 1994 debut "Icky Mettle." The eighth track, Plumbline just might be one of those quintessential indie cuts that refuses to leave your head!

  • "she's an indie rocker. and nothing's gonna stop her." ushered me into a brave new world!

  • very 90's.

    raging hard on here.

  • Still best Loaf song ever

  • The dirty energy and all the rough edges made this whole album a classic.

  • she's an indie rocker and nothings gonna stop her

  • so hard to find this cd/tape in any store ! excellent upload

  • @levanyzzuf You're absolutelty correct. Some of their lyrics are harder to make out (see web in Front's "sampled your rust from a faucet I know" and "Extra thick, extra long, the way it was wasted", that have sounded garbled to me for the past 16 years) but here, the line is clearly "She's an indie rocker, nothing's gonna stop her".

  • @levanyzzuf i love that line

  • indie!
