"Another World" is quite a nice song. Nice discovery there.

Actually, it was J-Lo's "I'm Real" (2001) that sampled YMO's "Firecracker" (1978).

This music video. It's incredible. It's kind of like one of those dreams you have as a kid where hardly anything is imaginable but it kind of stays with you at the back of your head waiting to stab a feeling of nostalgia into you later in life. Slightly ominous as well. And also the music feels slightly disturbing but in a wonderful way that I can't explain in words. Not beautiful, but much much more.

Awesome song

@Jagged85 What? Probably the only thing the two songs have in common is the drum beat, which is a simple one-two.

This song and video is right up my alley! I'm finally going to have to hunt down some of their albums.
That main riff really jumped out at me. I knew I'd heard it somewhere before and then it hit me: Joe Jackson copped it for "Another World" off his 1982 album "Night and Day."

発売時の1980年に、ビルボードで60位、UKチャート(日本
初!)で17位を記録している、という点でも、YMOは実に偉大 です。

As soulbeauty89 already wrote: I'm Real by Jennifer Lopez. It's the main riff of the song. Since this above is the older song, I think YMO didn't copy from J.Lo's producers... ;)

This is why YouTube exists!

I noted the same thing. The part between 0:57 and 1:50 definately sounds a lot like Michael Jackson's 1982 classic "Billie Jean", which makes sense since MJ really liked YMO's work at the time and even made a cover version of their song "Behind the Mask" back then for his "Thriller" album, although his cover version wouldn't be released until decades later (after his unexpected death).
