I notice her feet dragging on the ground, but I also notice it looks like she is trying her best to use her rear legs to assist in walking. How is the wheelchair set up for both immobilization of the rear legs and/or allowing the dog to assist in locomotion in a situation where rehabilitation is necessary? We have a pug also and are looking to purchase soon.

We always set the dog in a normal standing position so that they can use whatever ability they have to walk in the cart. There are stirrups on Asia's cart as well - rolling bars on the vertical rails - which will hold her legs off the ground if she becomes paralyzed in the future. In the meantime, the owners are encouraged to use booties to protect the feet and allow her to use the cart as a walker for as long as she has movement from the hip.

Are these rolling bars removable/adjustable so when the dog is using her rear legs they aren't hitting them?

Yes - this was at her fitting. You can easily remove the rolling bars if she's not going to be using the stirrups. You can also move them to a new position on the vertical frame. It's all adjustable.
