@ShaDeed329 Great news, ShaDeed329! you can watch the recently discovered lost episode of Whispering Smith titled "The Interpreter" right here on this YouTube website. It has the Revue sliding filmstrips ident at the end, you know, the music, the filmstrips, and the single tube of Revue with A WHISPERING CO. Production above it and the MCA bug and byline below, so enjoy the logo!

Lovely satire!
-
Wow fantastic they made so great logos back then.
-
@actionsub The same can be said for Riverboat's season 2 episodes which would have had the sliding filmstrips, then the single tube would have appeared with the revue filmstrip inside of it with a Meladare Co. production above the tube. Shame on TMG for that one, too!

@revueguy The twin tube logo was on the majority of the Whispering Smith episodes, but a few were made late enough that the sliding filmstrips would have been on them, as no logo appeared during the theme music. However, the pinheads at TMG lopped off the sliding filmstrips part and left those eps without logos at all.

GREAT SPOOF JOHNNY!

No it's not.

I don't do any pre-ordering these days. Sorry. And I've been known about the twin tubes a long time ago.

Order your copy of "Whispering Smith, the TV Series" starring Audie Murphy, coming April 20 in a 3-DVD collection from TMG and NBC Uni. Filmed in 1959-60, it didn't make the NBC schedule until late 1960-61, when 20 out of 25 episodes were aired. Don't expect the sliding filmstrips, but the twin tube logos of Revue/MCA instead.
