Sample of North Korean TV recorded off-air live during a trip there in August 2011. This was the station as received in our hotel. apparently they are supposed to have 3 channels, but we only received this 1, which appeared to be a compile of the best of the channels, but is hard to confirm.

This is part of a late night news and weather report followed by the station close down for the night.

  • When was the closing time?

  • I think it would be humorous if Seinfield randomly came on at 5pm on N Korean TV.

  • Thanks for uploading this, I've always wondered what TV in North Korea was like

  • @jsnovais1000 a true idiot tries to argue serious debates over the youtube comment box

  • @jsnovais1000 Bloody hell, calm down...

  • @ava0000 Still continuing: ...if you do not see these TV emissions in our "beloved" West, it is because our western Media authorities block them out and don´t let us to watch them...—Have you understood what I have written?

    —GOOD!

  • @ava0000 Continuing:...Judging from my vast life experience, If you go to DPRK and only take pictures or record videos of ugly things, I can conclude that you are working as a capitalist propaganda agent; that´s it!

About empty roads, let me tell you: there are lots of occasions when you can stop and shoot pictures/videos in our most busy western highways, without having a car into view.

You can also picture many spots with car-traffic officers;...with a difference: here, usually, they are ugly!

  • @ava0000 Continuing: When you go to other country, you, as a smart person, try to take pictures of the best-looking spots and places, and DPRK has lots of beautiful city and country places to shoot but, most of what you see when you watch american shot videos on the Net about DPRK is, in good american English, BULL SHIT, to say the least!

I have more than 10000 pictures and videos shot here, in my home-town, Braga, and I think that I have less than 100 of them with cars!—I hate cars in pictures!

  • @ava0000 Offence; you mean the action of attacking...

My comment was intended to question the habit of most american people who visit DPRK and record videos of these non-event type of things. In the West, in the so called "democratic" countries, you cannot record videos or take pictures inside supermarkets, or other commercial, industrial or institutional places without having a permission to do that, for example! You don´t also see many people recording videos in subway stations, etc., here!...
