Most Mongols became Muslims :) check the Golden Horde , İLkhanate, Chaghatai khanate... all of them were muslim Turko-mongols and fucked eastern european christians. mongols killed 5 million slav. That is usually after defeating them, during the sieges of resisting towns or cities he would catapult diseased corpses over the walls to infect the populace, or he would destroy the infrastructure and starve the cities to death. His main methods were psychological warfare because he honestly didnt have the man power to take every city by force so he used punishments such as that to scare other towns in the future to surrender and thus save him manpower and time. Sorry for the text dump.
