Hi nate! Works good don't it?

This demo was for a gentleman interested in purchasing the amp. I may upload some demo's of my live rig eventually, but here's this for now.

Kind of an echoey room, and I mumble alot, sorry if you can't understand what I'm saying. First I go through the range of the tone knob, from 1 to twelve, with the volume between 3 or 4, so the tubes are warm, but its totally clean. Then I put the tone around 5 or 6, my favorite setting, and go through the range of volume from clean to saturated.

15 foot cable straight in, no effects. Parts caster (or Strat-o-various, if you will) built more or less to 50's specs, hard tail alder body, sea foam nitro finish, all parts neck with vintage tall frets, maple one piece, 50's fender logo and 50's era klusons. Texas specials, just because I had em knockin around my closet, will probably get a nicer set of pickups eventually.

  • do you think if you turned it up all the way it would compete with a drummer? (I know it would break up alot)

  • @jimyerk2k Thought I had responded here, apologies! Cranked up it'll get ya there, especially for really small gigs where the drummer's already holding back a lil, or if he simply has a light touch. A real heavy handed drummer will def give these little guys a run for their money. Again, these are great little amps for the dough, but I won't be buying another one unless i come across a good deal on a modded one mounted in a bigger cabinet like the tonedog oversized tweed cab...

  • Hey man, I'm in a ska band and have been real interested in this amp. Would it get loud enough at smaller gigs without breaking up too much?

  • @GetTheImmigrants I would say no, but depends on your gtr's output, drummer, and size of the gig. Go with the next size up amp. Like a blues jr, vox ac15, egnater tweaker/rebel series. Don't need more watts, just a better speaker and bigger cab. I gigged with this a couple times, playing blues with it cranked up and overdriving, and it was barely loud enough. Lil guy only has 15 watts and 1x10, got swallowed whole by the other players deluxe rev RI @ 22 watts w/1x12 speaker

  • Haha, me again. I just got the amp. Its nice. But it has an odor to the tubes. The tubes start to smell like a burning plastic or electrical burning. I was just wondering if you experienced this?

  • @MrZachtheRocker These guys run pretty hot, so if it's a very faint smell and the amp seems to work as it should, then I wouldn't worry about it. Of course if it smells strongly like somethings burning or you see smoke, then you might want to take it into a tech, lol. But like I said, if it works and sounds good, there can't be anything too terrible going on inside, lol.

  • This video made me buy this amp!

  • Great demo!!!! Just enough to know how the amp sounded and from different levels.

    The amp sounded awesome!

  • This amp is a really good price for the sound!

It'll be fine with humbuggies. You'll get some good crunch pushing it with buckers over singles. break up around 3 to 4 instead of 5 to 6 like with my strat. To be honest, if I had it to do over again, I'd get a Vox ac15. For 600 bucks brand new, it's way more flexible and giggable, while being manageable enough to rock out he smallest of bedrooms... The pro jr is way cool considering you can get em for less than 250 used, but there are cooler amps out there for a lil more $
