I think that the area where the family was sitting, was on HIGHER ground, and that fork in the road, is on sloping ground, thus altering the perspective. I do NOT think it was a stage set. How can an elaborate "Stage Set" be constructed in Hollywood, and NOBODY speaks about it? the building is there. The perspective + distance alter the view.

1:06 to the bottom far left you see a building,a lone tree, a walkway with windows where the cars are driving under at 7:03 is the "fake" building you are referring to,you see the building,the lone tree, the walkway with the windows,right above the right photo you see the opening where the cars are driving through,The building is there it just looks closer because of the angel the building is being filmed.I don't see it as fake it just appears to be closer than it really is. watch in full screen
