Well you lost to West Brom & Newcastle two teams who were in championship last year so i don't think you can criticise Spur for losing to lesser teams.

& yes you beat an incredibly weak Spurs team in extra time congrats.

We only had bale from January onwards last year and we finished 4th. Tottenham have great strength in depth shown by the fact Bale only got his chance because of injury so i think we'll manage.

Everton have been in the league longer than you. Arsenal are the only ever club not to of earned their place in the top flight! having got voted in when Division one was expanded despite finishing 5th in division 2.
