  • Why is the Dyson logo on the vacuum the way it is?

  • @MIBFreakPack Because this was the original Dyson logo before they changed it to the modern one we all know and love today.

  • You know, the Dyson DC01 and the Fantom Thunder are very similar.

  • @RyanSellman1 Well done... Dyson sold Fantom their designs.

  • Could you please upload more early Dyson adverts? :)

  • @videovac Yeah when I get time :)

  • @MIBFreakPack the logo we hae now was introduced on the DC02 in 1995

  • On the Dyson website there is a higher quality version of this ad.

  • @jmurray01 My mom's "back up" vacuum (Bissell Powergroom Pet Compact)has to be cleaned every two times you use it, even thought it's dual cyclonic. Her current vacuum that she uses is a Dirt Devil Breeze bagged.

  • @TuckLikesFire Well the last bagless cleaner was nothing but filters getting clogged, as is my current one.

The previous cleaner was an Argos VC9630 which although wasn't awful, it needed cleaned every couple of weeks to keep its suction levels good enough for efficient use, but in the end it went up in flames after 6 months, so that was nothing on the scale of problems with that cleaner!

My current cleaner is a 2004 Panasonic MC-E8011 Twin-Cyclonic, which needs cleaned every 2 weeks also.

  • @jmurray01 So far the only bagless cyclonic vacuums I've used that work (not getting filters super dirty) are the Dysons and Shark Navigator, however i do not trust the durability of any shark vacuums.

  • @TuckLikesFire Well in my experience, bagless cleaners are nothing but cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning filter wise. And in my comment, I meant I didn't like bagless vacuum cleaners, not bagged ones as I wrongly typed...

  • @jmurray01 Not with cyclonic vacuums. The first time I used my dyson I checked the filter and there was nothing on it. Why? Because the cyclones spin most of the dirt out of the air. The dyson filter only needs to be cleaned 3-6 months (Depending on use and whether or not you have pets). My grandmother's friend NEVER cleaned the filter in the 2 years she owned hers and I looked at it and it had a very small amount of dust on it.
