There is something magical about old, classic jazz. It has depth and meaning, and an always interesting history. Chet Baker was one of those artists who oozed emotion whether he was playing his trumpet or singing. Everything he did had a lamenting quality about it that led the listener to imagine what sorrow, what story, Chet was trying to convey through his music. Divine late night listening.
