  • yeah, this reminds me o Amy Winehouse, when she turned out dead some people were all like "poor thing"...poor thing? she made fucking millions every month, didn't have to work on a shitty ass job like 90% of the world she has every fucking thing in the world she needs and you pity her? if i started doing drugs right now my family would beat the shit out of me telling me my life is way too good for me to try and escape all with drugs and shit, and you know what, it really is

    so fuck that shit

  • This is why I love Ricky Gervais, there's no bullshitting with him, no side stepping issues, no sitting on the fence trying to please everyone, I wish more celebrities were like this, actually expressing their opinions rather than what they think the public wants their opinions to be.

  • @riberbentsen to be an athie-ISHHH CHRIST JESUS thats what i heard

  • Hahaha, he's talking about Russell Brand.

  • Fucking love this man.

  • the cheerfully callous ricky gervais

  • rich famous people are a joke all they do is pretend to be someone else and fucking expect to be treated like fucking heros.

  • The thing is, depression can affect anyone regardless of wealth, class, social status or how we percieve 'luckiness' .... you can have a life of going on holidays once a month, living in a 9 bed house etc and be MISERABLE and you can live in a grotty council home and be the happiest person alive

  • fuck he needs a shower that sweaty bastard

  • @lovemeordie83 While the stigma is less than it was once, I don't think depression has made the crossover to career booster yet in the eyes of the general public or potential celeb employer (unlike alcohol/drug/sex addiction which has been for years).

  • @lovemeordie83 Well I kind of agree with you there, but I have my doubts that there really are any celebrities that have done that. I think it's more likely a trope that has no basis in reality. I could be wrong though and would give consideration to any proof to the contrary. In any case, I suspect it more likely they might either just see the chance to talk about it as therapeutic or genuinely wish to raise awareness and lower stigma.

    G'day to you also. :-)
