A Japanese floral designer demonstrating the art of Hana-Kubari. Using Natural Twigs to hold floral materials - Note - I took this videoclip while attending AIFD National Symposium. To understand fully the concepts of this small sample clip - Visit www.AIFD.org and purchase the DVD's of this past symposium.
This particular designer, Keiko Osada is one of the instructors at one of the premieir floral design schools in Japan. The school is the Mami Floral Design School in Tokyo. They also have branches throughout Japan and Asia.
Important - Floral designing if this caliber should only be attempted by trained, educated, certified professional florists and designers. However, If you are a flower lover and wish to try.......enjoy the process of using nature to hold nature.
Lastly - When you wish to send flowers to someone you care about........seek the services of a properly, trained, educated, accredited, certified professional florist or designer. As convienient as using the internet to order is........you are in a very real way taking a chance that your flowers may not reflect the message that you wish to express. Take the time to find and seek out a real, local, professional florist, ask about the certifications and education that they have......or just visit www.AIFD.org and use their 'find a designer' search to find a professional near you.
