That Atlantis mythology is very interesting. If you're into this type of setting, there's a comic book series about an underwater civilization similar to sunken Atlantis (though not based on it) in conflict with the surface-dwelling Humans. It's called Fathom - I suggest you check it out.

that was common in ancient greek times, the elder would act as a teacher, if you read Platos symposium it explains these relationships
