@aCiD99GT I have already changed it out and had ALL the circuits tested and checked. The current is where it should be, the problem lies within the wheel thing that turns the cam. the tooth is probably chipped off. It's b.s. because my car runs great. been that way for 25k miles.

i had a rod knock in my 2000 mustang gt and had to get a new motor

i had a 99 4.6L w/a rod knock. rebuilt the whole engine. do you still have the car?

my check engine light is on due to a cam shaft sensor code, some b.s. code that litteraly means nothing. yet your car is falling apart and has none? gota love america. .

@ralatorre9 Cam sensor is not BS... it means your cam sensor failed, which can affect starting and running. Replace your cam sensor.

@ralatorre9 Weird, the metal protrusion on the cam gear is VERY substantial and I could never see it breaking off under any circumstances. That's really weird.

@aCiD99GT It's obviously not my cam at all or else ir would be running very rough and it is not. Pisses me off how it does hesitate to start at times. . fuck my mustang!!

@ralatorre9 No.... not your actual cam being broke, there's a reluctor protrusion on the driver's side cam gear, that would never be able to break off.
If the cam sensor has failed the car will use the crank sensor to figure out the timing of the motor, but since the cam sensor has 100% more accuracy than the crank sensor it will take an extra rotation of the motor or two for the crank sensor to sync, which is as I said before why it will take longer to start.

Oh yea, it has a DSS SuperMod put in after this incident, and then a Vortech T-Trim, and then a Kenne Bell 2.6!
