In 2006 I was asked to create a video tribute to Fos for an upcoming concert. Many of the guys in his band were hitting with Jimmy Heath the night of the show so I went to the Blue Note and captured a few comments. I met Frank and got to sit with him and Cecilia at dinner after the gig. 2 years later Cecilia saw our memorial tribute to Earl MAy and called the next day. She asked if we would do something on Frank. We said YES!
Hoping to see this movie so very soon. Miss you Pop....

@TheJazzimpact I am a little surprised by your objection to this video (and the comments from qmonet). I take it you both know Bill Cosby is being ironic and was only having a little fun because he knew Frank Foster well and had enormous respect for him? I really think you both have missed something here. I think Bill Cosby is very funny - I am sure Frank Foster thought so too when he watched it.

Out of respect to Mr. Foster, I'll forget WTH that jerk Cosby has to say! Foster was Cal Tjader's favorite sax man.
