Just a short video of the CSX switchyard near my house. Poor quality is due to a dark sky and the fact that I was standing on an uneven, wobbly surface. XD You can see locomotives CSXT 5894, CSXT 5947 (not being used at the moment), and CSXT 5972. 5894 and 5947 practically live here; 5972 I had never seen before. Notice the fresh paint on 5972. 5894 is a GE B36-7; 5947 and 5972 are both B40-8's.

  • It looks like you are about to get slamed by rain.

  • I was. xD I was able to find shelter for myself and my camera before it hit.

  • I remember seeing Seaboard System locos working this yard as a kid a long time ago. thanks for the vids!! You got another subscriber.

  • I wish I had been here to see the U18B's. Even the B36-7 seen in this video is now retired, it makes me sad. =( Thanks for subbing!

  • XD whats up with 5972's nose paint? XD did csx fail at painting? or is it just that special!

  • LOL, for some reason, when CSX repaints a B40 or C40 into YN3, they wrap the yellow around the nose like that. xD
