@SaltwaterAir1 i guess that's similar to the situation regarding shakespeare's plays. back in shakespeare's time, and maybe more recently than shakespeare's time, they supposedly used male actors for female as well as male parts.
@karlbrahms thanks for the info. though lila deis had a great voice, i tend to associate this song with a man's voice. i assume that the song is a love song, where a man is dreaming of a woman named jeanie.

Lila was an amazing person with a beautiful voice. She will be missed by so many. It is wonderful to be able to share her work this way.

One of the greatest vocal tributes a mother could ever have. I always think of Lila singing this song for her beloved mother, Jean Deis.
