Nice Camaro! I just built a 355. I am using the Same Dome Pistons and Heads that you are. But the Block has been decked, the Heads have been shaved, ported and polished, and have 2.02/1.60 Valves, and we are using HP Metal Head Gaskets. We bumped the Compression up around 11.0:1.....For a Cam we used the XE294 from Comp. Im gonna be putting the Engine in my 86 IROC-Z. As of right now its in my 79 GMC Jimmy with a 3200RPM Stall. Way too much weight to fully benifit from the High End Power.

Sounds awesome. I would also like to know what kind of mufflers you are running.
Thanks.

The mufflers are DynoMax Bullet mufflers with an "H" pipe in front of them!

nice engine. what's ur compression? whats your et on the quarter mile?

We are running cast 881 heads! 76cc! Compression should be at 10.25 with the .275 dome pistons! We haven't had it on the track yet! Still working on getting it ready for paint!
Running Strange axles with 3:73 rears, M/T Drag radials. TH400 with reverse manual valve body! Our goal is to have it finshed for my sons 21st birth day in July 2010.

thats nice! you ever think of throwing on some 64cc heads? that make you comp up into the 11s or would your pistons hit the valves? you running a posi? that is a nice gear ratio for the street too.

I want to keep the compression where I can still run pump gas! This is going to be mainly a street/strip car! A good set of 881 heads with stainless valves will flow very well!
