does anyone know if I can load or create a templates shader in Mari ? I read from the Reference Guide document, it seems supports to load shaders from disk, but I just couldn't find it how.

Hi thanks for the replied.
I still have couple questions because I just started how to use Mari recently.
Is there a way I can still change the paint once I bake it ? for example, I want to erase some paint or move it ?
How do you bake the displacement map from the shader ?
thanks.

Mari does not currently support PSD files.
You can create many different channels (think of them as 'layers') and compile these together with the shaders system. Channels can be imported/exported individually, you can have one for color, dirt, sweat, etc.

can Mari support PSD files ? say if I want to have many different color layers , how can I import or export all the layers ?

can i has please? oO

Thanks jgreasley :) Texture referencing are very useful in production environment, That's a feature I really miss out in Mudbox . In the last turntable demo The tears and sweat layer seems affect the normal . I guess Mari supports old fashion 2D bump beside normalmap?

Really impressive!

Really great soft it looks! When can normal customers can use this?

Is this software somehow connected to Photoshop to update my textures on the fly?
Yes, Mari supports traditional bump mapping. The ability to reference textures multiple times in a shader is essential. This is one area where traditional layer based systems fall down. In a ideal world you can paint a mask once and use it to modulate multiple channels at once. In anything other than a trivial shader setup, the overhead of manually updating and copying layers can become very time consuming.
