Har har. Look, bud, everything has to eat. I'm sure you'd just love it if we took all of your food, your life from you. No one can eat anything without killing. Even vegetarians. Plants did live at one point. Wolves are like any other living creature, like your deer and elk. They eat plants. Which did live. Wolves eat deer, elk. Circle of life. Get over it.

@IishTyto I love wolves, but also agree with you. EVERYTHING is alive. Even plants and trees. In order to stay living we have to eat. ALL things living do.

@XxXCrescentXxX - The math is based on what would have been produced had 10,000 Elk from that herd not been killed every 3 years for nine years-30,000 that is just the N Yellowstone Herd and only86 Wolves. The 70-80 is taking all Elk predation in the three states and the other half of the Wolves. It also does not account for the calves that the Wolves killed, so the error if any is low at best. It's UGLY but that is what I have been saying. Still couldn't find anymore Bears Killing Fawns???

19000 to 9450 is about 10k yeah. just remember that not all elk give birth.... so 70-80000 is too high. A thing to point out is that you get ALL your information of the net. Judging by your limited information and down right ignorance, you have got them off web sites that are not in the favour of wolves, or any other large carnivores, or your hoping that these facts and figures that you pull out your ass is gonna confuse people. I get alot of my info from people like Todd Fuller and David Mech.

@XxXCrescentXxX ..... children of the Elk. The 10,000 Elk were not the old and sick exclusively. Sport Killing by Wolves was and is Documented during this time period. I notice that you didn't find any more Bears killing fawns.... and humans "DO NOT KILL ELK IN YELLOWSTONE". Wolves kill more Elk than bears ! Bears kill the children- you can figure 30 calves or children per hundred cows - that is what the Bear gets a small part of and less all the time so he has to leave.
